Katie Spacianna

One of the deviants that I watch drew a picture of a character with a space dress. That only reminded me of an old oc I created way back in Elementary school named Katie Spacianna. For a school project, we had to write Tall Tales. You know, the extremely exaggerated stuff? I came up with the character Katie Spacianna (partially based off of my own self). The only thing I can remember about the first book she starred in was that her parents died in an accident, and she went to live on the moon with space mice people in their floating house.

The second book she was in (I think it was the second) was really stupid. We had to write a story with a moral attached. Katie Spaceana and the Ugly Cover! Yup! I wrote that! We all entered out stories into a contest (which we could actually write our own stories and enter them, but the teacher wanted us to all write the same type of story...) and I thought I had gotten last place because I got called to the stage first. (I now realize it was because of my last name.) We actually got to have our books published with the hardcover and stuff. It was pretty neat. I found the book under a bunch of dictionaries on a shelf in the corner of my room. That's how you know how much I wanted to pretend the book never existed.

The third book went under a different name, Katelynn the Great, but it's practically Katie under a different name. The teacher told us to use our name. I used my middle/English name, which I only recently learned was a lie. It actually doesn't have an E in it. D: It told the tale of Katie who could read a book in three seconds as soon as she turned two months old and could jump as high as the best jumping animal on a pogo stick (which actually wouldn't be that high if you think about it). The plot was that she raced a shark, won, they became friends, the shark got sick, Katie took a scooter to Mars to find the antidote, and raced a shark eater to save her friend. The shark was named Jenny, who was incorporated into a different story called "Pirate's Prophecy" as Captain Corrie's pet shark. We actually self published this one. Sewed on the cover and everything! We entered our stories in the same contest, and I actually got third place!

I never used Katie Spacianna after that, though. I know I drew her in a notebook somewhere, but I'm too lazy to sort out my dozens of art notebooks to find it. I'd like to talk more about the drawing, but the description is already long enough and nobody wants to read all this junk. It took me four days to finish this, many people saw it and complimented me with astonishment, I love her outfit, and I am never coloring this much again. It felt nice to draw Katie again after so many years, so thanks for the memories. c:
